Barcelona vs Thailand August 7, 2013

Barcelona have had a bit of an up-and-down preseason performance. After being defeated to Bayern Munich 2-0 in July, the team took out their ire on Barcelona vs Valerenga, beating them 7-0.
Following that, the Catalans drew with Lechia Gdansk, 2-2. That fueled another drubbing, this time of Neymar's former club, Barcelona vs Santos, 8-0.
Now, the team will face Barcelona vs Thailand. With just three preseason matches before August 21st's Supercopa match against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona should be sanding off the edges and really pushing into form as the season draws near.
Let's preview this Barcelona vs Thailand live stream friendly match.
While there is a good chance Neymar won't play against Thailand football, as he was recently diagnosed with anemia, all eyes would obviously be on the Brazilian starlet if he was on the pitch.
Obviously, with stars like Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta, etc., there is plenty of first-rate talent to observe. But for Barca, at least in the preseason, the younger talent is more intriguing.

Will players like Martin Montoya, Cristian Tello, Marc Bartra and Sergi Roberto prove to Martino they deserve more regular roles than they were given last season? The emergence of Marc Bartra would be particularly important, as it would soothe some fears about Barcelona's obvious need at centre-back.
The preseason is also an excellent chance to see how second-team players are performing. For example, can players like Alex Song make bigger marks on the team this season? Since Messi and Neymar seem destined to occupy two of the forward spots, who will win the competition for the remaining spot? Alexis Sanchez, Pedro or Tello?
With Manchester United chasing Fabregas like a schoolboy with a crush, will Martino allay any fears the player might have about a diminished role and keep him in the starting 11 on a regular basis? And will Fabregas be playing in his more preferred midfield role, or will he be pushed out wide?
In many aspects, this is as important a preseason as Barcelona football have had in some time. A new manager. A new superstar in Neymar. The chance to work in some of the younger players as an older generation—Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol, Dani Alves, Iker Casillas and Victor Valdes—winds down.
Barcelona football club can't be the same team it was last yearthe one that was dominated by Bayern Munich. Thus, every preseason game is a chance to see how the evolution of the club is progressing. The game against Thailand is no exception.

Arsenal vs Galatasaray August 4, 2013

Arsenal will face Galatasaray in the final match of the 2013 Emirates Cup on Sunday.
The 2012-13 Super Lig champions Galatasaray football club got a goal from Felipe Melo to take out Porto in their first match of the Emirates Cup, while the Premier League club Arsenal football club overcame steep odds to earn a 2-2 draw with Napoli by scoring twice in the final 18 minutes.

Arsenal football manager Arsene Wenger knows that the Galatasaray club will have more than just preseason fitness on their minds when the whistle blows to start the match.

While nothing more than bragging rights are on the line, we're heading into the final phase of preseason competition. Arsenal vs Galatasaray will both have their sights set on winning their league crowns this year, and championship-caliber teams don't give away games.

Just as it looked like Napoli were poised to hand Arsenal a demoralizing defeat on their home pitch, the duo scored consecutive goals in the second half to help the Arsenal earn a draw and avoid the ire of their fans.

The Gunners will try to take that momentum to Sunday's match against Galatasaray

While most of the focus on Sunday should remain on Emirates Stadium, there's no doubt fans will be keeping their eyes on the latest Arsenal transfer news

Wenger maintained confidence in Arsenal's ability to compete at the highest level of English football with their current collection of players.

The latest chance for them to prove that mantra is against Galatasaray

The Turkish club will be making their sixth preseason appearance this summer. The win over Porto broke a two-match winless streak, and Galatasaray will look to keep that momentum going before their first Super Lig match on Aug. 18.

With a talented group centered around veteran star Didier Drogba, Wesley Sneijder and Burak Yilmaz, Galatasaray has the talent to make noise both in the Turkish league and in European competition this year.

Sunday's clash should be an epic conclusion to the fast-paced action that the Emirates Cup 2013 has to offer. Expect both clubs to tighten the screws and work harder at meshing together with only a few days before league action begins.

Napoli vs Porto August 4, 2013

Napoli take on FC Porto in the first of two games to be played in the Emirates Cup on Sunday. The other teams in the competition - Arsenal vs Galatasaray - face each other in the evening.

Napoli football club enter the game after a 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Saturday. Napoli football were two goals up at half-time but conceded late goals. Lorenzo Insigne opened the scoring for Rafael Benitez's side and Goran Pandev doubled the lead before the half-hour mark. However, the Arsenal came back in the final quarter. France international Olivier Giroud continued his impressive pre-season run and scored the first, while compatriot and centre-back Laurent Koscielny equalised four minutes from time.

Porto were handed two penalties of their own by match official Andre Marriner. However, the Porto football club outfit failed to convert either chances - Jackson Martinez shot straight at the goalkeeper and midfielder Lucho Gonzalez could only manage to drag the ball well wide of goal.
Meanwhile, Porto come into this fixture after a 1-0 defeat to Turkish champions Galatasaray in the opening fixture. Brazilian Felipe Melo scored the only goal from a spot kick.

The Emirates Cup 2013 live stream soccer games continue with the second day of the two-day tournament hosted by Arsenal. The home team will play in the late game versus Galatasaray, while Napoli will take on FC Porto.

Real Madrid vs Everton August 3, 2013

Everton pulled off the biggest upset of the International Champions Cup opening round by defeating Italian champions Juventus. The match doesn't get any easier in the second round as the Everton football go up against Real Madrid.
As expected, the Real Madrid were able to ease past Los Angeles Galaxy, who were without Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. The Real Madrid football side's talented depth players make them a serious threat to capture the inaugural event's trophy.
To reach the final Real Madrid vs Everton will need another terrific defensive effort. American international goalkeeper Tim Howard was at the top of his game and his defenders followed suit to slow down Juve. A similar performance is needed against Real.

The winners get a spot in the championship match alongside either AC Milan or Chelsea, according to the winner of Chelsea vs AC Milan. So let's take a glance at the key viewing information for the clash, followed by a preview and a prediction for which club will claim that berth in the final.

Madrid are still working towards top form and lacked the intensity of a La Liga match, but still had no trouble creating chances against the Galaxy. They scored three times and it could have been five or six if not for a strong showing by L.A. goalkeeper Brian Rowe.

Cristiano Ronaldo was his usual dynamic form, Karim Benzema scored twice and Angel Di Maria also found the net. But the most astonishing performance came from Isco, who was a driving force behind the club's dangerous attack.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder delivered a pair of nifty assists. Although it's impossible to pass any final judgment until he plays a full season against elite competition, he definitely looks like a superstar in the making.

For most clubs, the short preseason turnaround between matches would be a major concern. But the Blancos have great depth, headlined by players like Isco and Alvaro Morata, which should ensure they field a very competitive squad. Carlo Ancelotti has a wealth of options.
Real are going to need that depth to break down Everton FC's defensive wall. But as long as they can control the match in midfield and win the possession battle, they should be in position to reach the final.

As for Everton football club, the Premier League club have flown under the radar throughout the offseason, mostly due to a lack of high-profile moves. Yet, beating Juventus should provide the squad with an immediate boost of confidence.
Howard wasn't at his best last season. He experienced too many dips in form. It appears he sees that lackluster play as a challenge because the veteran keeper looked ready for a bounce-back campaign by turning away Juventus several times in the second half.

The Toffees' defensive effort was good enough for them to believe they can at least slow down Real Madrid, especially if the Blancos decide to rotate their lineup. Whether they are able to generate enough offense is the bigger question mark.
Kevin Mirallas scored Everton's only goal in the opener. Victor Anichebe, Steven Naismith, Nikica Jelavic or another member of the attack must step up to provide more chances. It's the only hope they have to keep up with the Blancos.
Ultimately, Real Madrid should be able to put together another sound performance in order to reach the championship match. Everton simply do not have enough firepower to keep pace with the Spanish side.

Galatasaray vs Porto August 3, 2013

Galatasaray take on FC Porto in the opening game of the pre-season 2013 Emirates Cup on Saturday evening. Hosts Arsenal vs Napoli match will start later in the day.

Fatih Terim's side Galatasaray come into this game after a 3-1 defeat to Napoli earlier this week. Goran Pandev opened the scoring for Rafael Benitez's side but his strike was cancelled by Nordin Ambarat in the second half. Late goals from Dany Nounkeu and Fernando Muslera handed the Turks a first pre-season defeat.
Last month, Galatasaray managed a 3-3 draw at home against Spanish Malaga before registering comfortable victories over League One sides Notts County and Shrewsbury Town. The Super Lig champions will be keen to win against Porto, particularly since they face hosts Arsenal on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Porto football club enter this game after a 1-0 win over Spanish side Celta Vigo. The Portuguese champions are in the middle of an impressive run, with five pre-season wins. Paulo Fonseca's side have conceded only twice in those games and both of them came in the 4-2 defeat of Venezuelan club Deportivo Anzoategui.
Fonseca is keen to continue this excellent start and rates the Emirates Cup very highly. The 40-year-old only recently took the reins at Estadio do Dragao, following Vitor Pereira's departure.
"We are looking forward to playing Galatasaray and Napoli, who often compete in the Champions League. These games will be two good tests for us and our improvement as a team"

Team line ups and match information:
Galatasaray and FC Porto will face off Saturday in the Emirates Cup 2013.
The tournament features four clubs engaging in four matches. Galatasaray will take on Arsenal on Sunday after Saturday’s game with FC Porto.
Galatasaray midfielder Emmanuel Eboue of Galatasaray has already professed an excitement about playing Arsenal in the tournament.

“I still speak to several of the guys regularly – Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby for example – and sometimes [manager] Arsène Wenger too,” Eboue told the Official Matchday Programme. “I always want to hear news from the club because I am a big supporter of them. I’m a Galatasaray player now, but I am still in love with Arsenal and I always watch their games.
“The club only did good things for me, and I never had any trouble from anybody,” he added.
“My only bad day was that game against Wigan, but that was something you must be ready for as football player. I will never, ever forget Arsenal or its supporters and I cannot wait to see them again.”

Before he takes on his old team, Eboue will have to deal with an FC Porto squad that has lost a number of its top players this summer; the Portuguese champs lost James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho to Monaco.
Porto will take on Napoli on Sunday in its second game.
The winner of each game earns three points. Each goal scored is also awarded a point. The team with the most points lifts the trophy.

Chelsea vs AC Milan August 4, 2013

It may be preseason, but the fixtures are coming thick and fast for Europe's elite teams as they prepare for 2013-14, with Chelsea vs AC Milan battling for early-season bragging rights at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on Sunday August 4, 2013.

Chelsea vs AC Milan International Champions Cup
Chelsea vs AC Milan International Champions Cup

Having been on tour in Asia already this summer, the Chelsea are back in America competing for their first piece of silverware since Jose Mourinho returned to the Chelsea football in June.
Sure, the Guinness International Champions Cup will not rank high on Mourinho's list of achievements should his team leave the U.S. victorious, but it will be a good place to start.
They overcame Chelsea vs Inter Milan on Aug. 1 with a 2-0 victory and, as they face Milanese opposition once again, a repeat performance will ensure Mourinho's new moniker the "Happy One" will continue to be rolled out for a few more weeks yet.

Chelsea football club remain undefeated in preseason, their one-sided victory over Chelsea vs BNI Indonesia All-Stars in late July the pick of the bunch thus far.
That 8-1 victory has set them up well for the weeks ahead as the team builds a head of steam, targeting the big kick-off on Aug.17.
The Serie A season will kick-off a week later this year on Aug. 25, so in theory Milan should be a week or so behind the FC Chelsea in terms of fitness and sharpness.
If so, it didn't stop them defeating Valencia 2-1 in their opening game of their U.S. tour, setting up this weekend's clash with the Blues. AC Milan vs Manchester City match was an important recent clash between two elite teams of Europe.
Key players are returning after their extended breaks from international duty also, so the Rossoneri will be looking strong ahead of Sunday.

With Juan Mata and Fernando Torres back in training with Chelsea after their busy summer with Spain, both will be looking to make an early impression on new manager Jose Mourinho.
Competition for places at Stamford Bridge is certainly heating up as the new season approaches, with Romelu Lukaku looking every bit the player we saw at West Bromwich Albion last season, while Eden Hazard and Oscar found themselves on the scoresheet against Inter Milan in their last outing.
Robinho and Nigel de Jong grabbed a goal each against Valencia as AC Milan advanced to meet Chelsea in the Guinness International Champions Cup.
AC Milan certainly have more firepower within their ranks, too, with Stephen El Shaarawy available again having competed with Italy at the Confederations Cup.
Keep an eye out for 18-year-old frontman Andrea Petagna, also. The youngster has been a regular in Italy's youth teams and has been given his fair share of game time this preseason. Can he make an impact?

The Guinness International Champions Cup has thrown up some mouth-watering prospects for preseason already and the potential outcome of this fixture is no different.

If Chelsea are successful in defeating AC Milan on Sunday and Real Madrid overcome Everton a day earlier, it will mean Jose Mourinho facing his former employers a little sooner than he may have anticipated as both clubs will fight it out in the final.
Of course, should both teams lose, the result will be the same, but they will be competing for third place instead.

Arsenal vs Napoli August 3, 2013

Arsenal looks to continue their early preseason success against Napoli on Saturday. The match is the second of the day of the 2013 Emirates Cup featuring Porto, Galatasaray, Napoli football and Arsenal football, the hosts.
The Arsenal have racked up three consecutive victories in their opening preseason fixtures, but a revamped Napoli club will provide them with their toughest challenge to date.

Change isn’t always for the best; however, it may be just what the doctor ordered for the Serie A runners-up Azzurri. Star striker Edinson Cavani has left town but has been replaced by Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain. Arsenal had their sights set on him to bolster their attack prior to his move to Napoli. The Italian side had the cash to burn and ultimately swayed the 25-year-old Argentinian with a $53 million payday.
The changes don’t stop there, either. Manager Walter Mazzarri is out, and Rafa Benitez has taken the reins. Arsenal is well versed with the former headman of rival Chelsea. The Blues edged them into third place in the Premier League a season ago. Tomorrow, Chelsea vs AC Milan will be played in International Champions Cup.
While it will certainly be a new club on the pitch for Napoli on Saturday, will they be better than what we’ve seen from them in the past? If you want lo watch Arsenal live, you should better get your Arsenal tickets in advance.

The Azzurri have a lot to look forward to this season. They’re going to play some exciting football and pick up some wins along the way. Will that exciting ride start this weekend at the Emirates?
It’s hard to pick against the hosts in this one, so let’s not go in that direction. Manager Arsene Wenger will likely have his team ready to perform well at this big kickoff event. Couple that focus with a surely sold-out Emirates and the cards will truly be stacked against the new-look Napoli side.
Expect a very challenging and tight match for the Gunners, but ultimately a narrow victory will inspire the home crowd heading into their Sunday match against Galatasaray.
